The Trellis is a free SMS alert service operated by Design Emporium LLC that sends weather and gardening alerts to subscribers in Georgia. By texting in to join, you agree to these terms.
## Eligibility
This service is currently available only to Georgia residents. We verify this using the zip code you provide at signup.
## How it works
1. Text our number to begin.
2. Reply with your 5-digit zip code.
3. Reply with the number(s) of the alert categories you want: storm alerts, freeze/drought alerts, and/or weekly garden tasks.
4. You'll receive text alerts based on your selections.
## Message frequency and costs
Message frequency varies by category and current conditions — up to one storm alert per day, freeze/drought alerts as conditions arise, and one garden task message per week. **Message and data rates may apply** based on your mobile carrier and plan.
## Opting out
Text **STOP** at any time to unsubscribe. Text **START** to rejoin. Text **HELP** for assistance.
## No warranty
Weather alerts are based on data from the National Weather Service and Open-Meteo and are provided for informational purposes only. We make no guarantee of accuracy, timeliness, or completeness, and this service should not be relied on as your sole source of severe weather information. Always follow official guidance from local authorities and the National Weather Service during severe weather events.
## Changes to service
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue The Trellis at any time without notice.
