# The Trellis — Privacy Policy

The Trellis is a text message (SMS) service operated by Design Emporium LLC ("we," "us") that sends weather and gardening alerts to subscribers in Georgia.
## What we collect
When you text in to join The Trellis, we collect:
- Your phone number
- The 5-digit zip code you provide
- The alert categories you select (storm alerts, freeze/drought alerts, garden tasks)
We do not collect your name or any other personal information.
## How we use your information
We use your phone number and zip code solely to send you the SMS alerts you've opted into. We do not use your information for any other purpose.
## Message frequency
Message frequency depends on the categories you select and current weather conditions. You may receive:
- Up to one storm alert per day
- Freeze and drought alerts as conditions arise (not on a fixed schedule)
- One garden task message per week (Thursdays)

## Sharing your information
**We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or any other information with third parties for marketing purposes.** Your information is used only to operate The Trellis. We may share data with service providers (such as Twilio, our messaging platform) solely as needed to deliver text messages to you.
## Opting out
You can unsubscribe at any time by texting **STOP** to our number. You can rejoin at any time by texting **START**. Text **HELP** for assistance.
## Data retention
We retain your phone number and preferences for as long as you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we retain a record that you opted out (to honor that request) but stop using your information to send messages.
