OSCE Southeast Europe Media Conference 2026

Southeast Europe Media Conference 2026

Completed: Spring 2026

Client: OSCE

Scope of Work: Event Design

The theme for SEEMC 2026 was “Strengthening Journalism as a Public Good,” which could have very easily turned into stiff institutional branding if handled the wrong way. We wanted something that felt active instead. Connected. Like information moving between people rather than statements being handed down from a podium.

The visual system pulled from speech bubbles, connection points, broadcast graphics, transit maps, grid systems, and old public information design. The bright primary colors helped keep it from feeling too serious in a bureaucratic way, which honestly happens to a lot of conference branding around media policy. There’s already enough heaviness in the subject matter.

I designed the full conference identity across digital assets, environmental graphics, presentation materials, signage, and event collateral. One of my favorite parts was balancing the rigid grid structure with these more playful conversational forms. It gave the whole system a little movement and friction instead of feeling overly polished or static.
