Finding shelter in Atlanta isn't a matter of showing up and asking. It's a series of decisions made under pressure, with incomplete information and a system that wasn't designed to be easy to navigate. Stephannie Stokes and I worked with the Cost of Living project to make that experience tangible.
Seeking Shelter is a choice-based narrative grounded in conversations with a dozen advocates, shelter operators, and people who've moved through the system firsthand. It was published alongside Stephannie's longform piece of the same name in August 2025.
