One in five employees is also caring for an aging parent, a sick partner, or a child with a disability — often invisibly, and often at significant personal cost. The Rosalynn Carter Institute came to me to make that case to employers, clearly and without flinching. I handled design and storyboarding, with animation by Israel Audelo Ruiz.
The script moves from the personal to the systemic: who caregiver employees are, what the data says about how caregiving affects their work lives, and what employers can do now — while making clear that individual workplace accommodations alone won't solve a structural problem. The visual language had to hold both the human weight of the subject and the credibility expected of a policy-adjacent institution.
