Her work involves injecting play and creativity into traditionally dry spaces to add levity and boost participation, designing exhibits, web experiences, apps and interactive media that help us rethink the way we see our communities.

Sarah Lawrence is a designer and civic engagement specialist whose work centers on play as a strategy for movement and engagement. She believes that adults need more opportunities to play and that participation is driven by truly engaging experiences. Sarah aims to make people stop, learn, and engage with surprising creative concepts across civic work, mental health, and research. Her projects include Tallymade, a gamified survey platform, and innovative exhibits and board games that transform complex topics into immersive experiences. With a multidisciplinary approach, Sarah blends creativity and analysis to develop accessible, impactful solutions that deepen civic life.
